Dr Leanne decided to be the patient for a change, and she absolutely loved our new Facial Combo! It started with Dermaplaning, leaving her smooth, flawless feeling skin, followed by a Rose jelly mask, which smells divine, is soothing, moisturising, and hydrating for the skin.

This was followed with LED red light therapy, and our signature Body360 Nespresso👌

Book your Dermaplaning 3-1 treatment online today!

This Dermaplaning combo includes Dermaplaning of your entire face. Dermaplaning is a procedure that exfoliates your skin and gets rid of dirt and vellus hair, better known as “peach fuzz", whilst it lessens fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring and rough texture. It leaves your skin looking radiant and smooth. This procedure is carried out with a sterile blade by our medical aesthetician or medical doctor.

Following the Dermaplaning, you receive a Hydrojelly Rose or HA Mask, ( A Hydrojelly Mask is a “jelly-like” mask that provides the skin with several benefits such as hydration, moisturising, cooling, toning and anti-inflammatory, soothing effects. You are then left to enjoy LED red light therapy, which enhances collagen and elastin production, reduces scars, skin irritation, blemishes and promotes increased cellular turn over.

Why should I be dermaplaning?

Dr Leanne

Cape Town

It all starts with simple physiology. The skin renews and regenerates roughly every 28 days, but this process can be halted by certain life experiences, including puberty, pregnancy, menopause, stress and illness. The delay in this process leads to numerous unwanted effects.

The more we age, the more irregular our skin turnover becomes too, and hence the need for interventions such as dermaplaning.

Dermaplaning, or better known as the scalpel facial, is an incredible tool used to exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells from the surface layers, and preparing the skin to respond far more effectively to medical peels and home skincare protocols.

A sterile surgical scalpel is used on the outer most layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and vellus hair (otherwise known as face fluff).

This activity stimulates new skin cells to form, leaving you with brighter skin, reducing the formation of acne, allowing for smaller pores, less pigmentation and less redness.

How often should one be dermaplaning? This will be guided by your medical aesthetician or aesthetic doctor, but once a month is usually hugely beneficial.

At Body360 Medical Aesthetics, we love to combine this treatment with facial peels to get greater absorption of products, and the best possible effects for your skin.
